Windows 7 now available in Kiswahili language

Microsoft is in for business, the latest development in Microsoft products is the unveiling of windows 7 supporting Kiswahili language. Kiswahili is a fast growing language commonly used in most east and central African states. Now Kiswahili speakers have no reason to complain as the new windows 7 operating system is customized to their needs.

Kiswahili language comes as an option on the operating system, meaning for those who are uncomfortable with the language can still customize to their preferred choice. The operating system will be more user friendly to Kiswahili speakers as basic commands will be run in the language.

However, there has been a lot of fuss in knowing those responsible for the translation, Tanzania is a dominantly Kiswahili speaking language nation, but surprisingly, all translation work was done by Kenyans. This surely is a revolutionary achievement considering the benefits which will be derived especially from those users with strong command in Kiswahili as opposed to other supported languages.

Microsoft will offer windows 7 platform certification to learners who are comfortable with Kiswahili and learn how to operate a computer. From this achievement, Microsoft Corporation expects to increase sales by introducing more users to window 7 operating system platform.

Despite Microsoft’s dominance in the sector, the corporation has continued to invest more into new markets by introducing more features in their products such as language support. Today, computer users have increased drastically than ten years before; for instance, the recent censors done in Kenya has shown a significant growth in homes with a computer.

Kenyan schools now embrace computer studies in their curriculums and an operating system supporting Kiswahili language will be a great addition. This new feature on windows 7 can also be attained through an upgrade plug-in. you must be running genuine windows 7 to get the upgrade from the Microsoft’s website downloads. Microsoft Office 2010 the Swahili version is also expected in the 2nd Quarter of 2011.
